remember when we used to rock: coordinated outfits.

"you got to coorrrdinate" -john witherspoon
so back in the day, me and my girls couldn't/didn't sing like tlc but we walked around the neighborhood like we were some kind of group. lol. remember wearing identical or similar outfits as your clique?! those were the days.
we'd get our little money together and walk to the mall and hit joyce leslie, merry go round or weathervane and buy the same outfits in different colors. if there were more of us than different colors than we'd double up - me and stany would get pink, shewanna and shann might get blue ... etc.
we had the short sets, the jean shorts with the leather in front, the plaid outfits from au coton...and don't let shawn or someone else in the neighborhood have a house party...oh, we'd do it up with our $19.99 outfits. i GOTS to pull the old photos out ... priceless pix.
flyy toilet paper: renova.

ok, i know you like to keep it flyy in all facets of your fabulous lives but how about the bathroom? yup, renova makes toilet paper in colors. and i'm sitting here wondering, once again, why i never thought of this before now. so you tell me, would you buy colored toilet paper at $12.99 for 6 rolls or does your 12 roll pack of angel soft for half that price suit you just fine?
check it out over at iloveuma.com. oh and they also have colored paper towels.
am i the only one who thinks this is an utterly hot idea! i'd so get some, especially for a house party.
clinique happy duo.

got tattoos?

i have one and 2 on the way. i pick strategic spots so i won't want/need to cover up. but in case you do, check out kat von d tattoo concealer.
it claims to offer superb coverage for any tatt or dark circles.
it's $25 over at sephora but it doesn't appear to come in any shades darker than "tanned" so chocolate chicks will need to find something else.

go ask alice.
remember this classic? growing up, i loved to read and this was one of my favorites. i was a youngin and swore i was reading something scandolous.go ask alice came out years before i was alive, in 1971 and tells the story in diary form of a troubled teenage girl who dies of a drug overdose in the late 60s.
the book is currently in my bookcase and i'm going to re-read it. and i never knew a tv adaptation aired in 1973 but i'm going to try to dig it up and watch it.
i like the way (kissing game).
i LOVED hi 5. they had several hits. tony thompson, the lead singer, was such a cutie. sadly, a year or so ago, he passed from an overdose. this one came out in 1991, i was in 8th or 9th grade ...

behind the scenes: sgb lookbook shoot.
so last week, i told you, we shot sgb's first lookbook shoot. the final lookbook won't be revealed until a little later but you know i showed up with my fancy camera. i crack myself up whenever i pull it out because it always makes me look a little more official than i am. but that's ok, one of these days i'll be sick with it ... and perhaps even shooting my own shoots. ha. picture that.
here's the behind the scene flicks shot by yours truly.
ryan (model) getting further beautified by marie (mua/pretty faces by marie):
it was an absolute pleasure working with each of them. and i'm not just saying that. bo, ryan and marie were cool and professional ... so refreshing to work with folks who are about their business.
coach old or coach new?
remember classic coach? you remember, it looked very conservative, like this:
