how dope are these embroidered shoulder pieces? i'm all about the accentuated shoulder look that we rocked so hard in the 80s and has since made a mean comeback (read more here). here's an unique spin to the concept: detachable pieces that clip on and off to clothing. i'm eyeing it.

designer's name is lorena and she's after my heart. she's only 21, born and raised in cuba and now residing in the beautiful miami beach area.

well, it does sometimes, right? philadelphia designer, sharif pendleton thinks so. his love cuts like a knife necklace is from his emotions can be dangerous necklace line. all of the necklaces in the line are themed with the same facetious banter about love.

saako necklaces.

kudos to designers, ines brito and joana gouveia, who were able to dodge the dreaded 9-5 life, typing away in front of a computer screen, swearing off carpal tunnel. sigh. they put their heads together and soon the saako project was born: unique multi-stranded necklaces made from scarf material. i can dig it.

they're affordable ($50) and soft and pretty much contradict everyone's idea of what a necklace should be. and i guess you could go on and skip the scarf and simply opt for one of these - it's made of scarf material, mine as well double as one, too. check them out here.
