i never was a barbie, girl. doll babies, yes. barbie, never. but still i recognize barbie for the icon she is. and she's turning 50 next year. but i really didn't post about barbie just to tell you that. even more exciting than her 50th b-day is that next february during NY fashion week, 50 designers will produce life-sized outfits inspired by barbie, according to WWD.
i'm looking forward to seeing which designers will participate. i'm already envisioning betsey johnson or zac posen coming up with something funky. should be nice.
