don't bite my steeze.

so yeh, this is a fashion blog. and if you consider yourself fashionably in tuned then at some point of your life you've heard, saw, been accused or accused someone of biting. kids today call it swag jackers.

oh it's such an ubiquitous topic in the world of fashion. fefe dobson (fefe who?) recently called rihanna out on it not too long ago; click here for that story. jim jones accused jay z of it; click here. there's been much chatter about beyonce's sudden edgy flair, making people wonder if she's taking cues from rih rih. forever 21 even dupes designer styles and gets called out on it. i could go on and on.

i remember being in elementary school and hearing my mom and dad talk about one of their friends or associates who would compliment them on an outfit and then go buy the same outfit. ouch. that's wack. but at some point of my 30 + years, i've fell so in love with a pair of shoes or bag and gave myself a pass: "i won't wear it when you wear it" or "we live in 2 different states." lol.

we're talking about serial offenders, though.

anyway, my mom always said, "imitation is the best form of flattery." i ask, is it or is it just highly annoying?

You are right who is Fefe to say that Rihanna is stealing her style? I don't think anyone is getting those two mixed up. You have short hair and I do so that means I'm stealing your style? Oh please.

You can't stop it so just take it as flattery. I have bigger things to worry about. Ummm, like getting enough money to buy those YSLs in the other post. LOL!

I wish I could drop names on all these girls who do it constantly! The main ones who do it are the ones who always swear someone is taking their style. I think they want to feel important or something. Whatever. We all shop at the same mall.

These record execs take notes out of the same book. If it works, then you are going to see a lot of it. That's why most of the successful stars sound or look the same. Just wait until all the Minaj duplicates start coming out. Originality is a thing of the past.
